I am Dr. Ertan Okay.
I was born in Gemlik in 1967. I completed my education in Gemlik, Bursa, İstanbul, Bursa respectively (27 Mayıs Primary School, Gemlik Secondary School in Gemlik; Bursa Boys High School in Bursa; İstanbul -Çapa- Faculty of Medicine in İstanbul; Uludağ University Radiology Department in Bursa). I was accepted to Uludağ University Radiology Department, where I specialized in radiology, by obtaining the highest TUS score of the university.

I had the opportunity to realize many firsts in Bursa during my specialization. Hip ultrasound for the diagnosis of hip dislocation in children (one of the first in Bursa and Turkey), Ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy for prostate diseases (one of the first in Bursa and Turkey), Shoulder ultrasound for shoulder pain, Arthrography for the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint diseases are some of them.

During my radiology specialization, under the directive of our instructor Ercan, I was one of the first assistants in Turkey to stay on duty and perform radiologic examinations in emergency cases. Shifts gained me a lot. I learned and improved the diagnosis of acute appendicitis in children and adults with ultrasound, and the diagnosis of intestinal diseases and urinary tract stones during shifts.

I was also a member of the group of doctors who worked with MRI (emar) at the university (one of the firsts in Turkey).
